  1. Apologies all, for being a complete noobie at this. I have a VOB file that I've recorded with my standalone DVD recorder and copied across to my PC with the help of DVD Decrypter...

For the next step, I want to break the VOB file down to its component video and audio parts, edit the audio part (to try and improve the sound quality), then put them both back together so that I have a new VOB file. The audio type on these VOB files is AC3 apparently..

I was told I could use AVIDEMUX to do this but, to be honest, I'm absolutely baffled as to what on earth I'm supposed to be doing with it and am starting to think I'm using the wrong tool entirely...

    Can anyone help at all?

    cheers

Rejig or PGCDemix or DGIndex would all be better choices for demuxing the audio and video.
