  1. IS it any faster/easier to use than autogk (or my preference fair use wizard). In total encoding time?

    Fastest > Staxrip - Encoder X264 - Profile 1P Maxspeed.

    On my 2.5ghz AMD XP-M computer it take me half an hour to encode a full movie
    equal in quality to xvid encoding for two and a half hours.
