  1. Hi,

i know several applications to create subtitles for a video, But this technic you know: look for the start of the sentence, and the end of the sentence..., is too tedious for me.

    Is there any easier way?

    Regards

Like anything else, subtitles have rules. One of it is they can't overlap. That is why you have to use start and end and some space between for hardware to pick it up.

Subtitle Workshop is great, but it works the way you mention:
look for the start of the sentence, and the end of the sentence..., is too tedious for me.
I mean, you have to find the correct time for each one (start and the end). Anyway, it is a terrific application and it is very easy to correct errors in files ripped using SubRip.

A good "visual" solution for your problem would be, IMHO, Sony DVD Architect. Just create a subtitle track, zoom the timeline and start iserting subtile events (type what you want and justify the text). You can control the duration of each event with your mouse. DVD Architect uses UNICODE, so if you are planning to save the subtitles as **.SRT, for instance, you might have to export and convert the file as ANSI. Same thing happens when you import subs to DVD Architect (first you have to convert them to UNICODE). Please, I hope you understand that Sony DVD Arhcitect is not freeware.

There is in fact an easier way:
    Media Subtitler http://www.divxland.org/subtitler.php

1-write all dialogue on a txt file ( dont worry with the timings)

2- open video and txt on medi asubtitler

3- you need to push a button accordingly to the dialogue time, after the dialogue finishes, stop pressing the button, and the next line will come up and then you press tthe button again and so on
I love it when a plan comes together!
