    Does anybody know of a program that will automatically insert chapter points along a time line? I know that VHS to DVD players do this, but I've not seen a program that can. Thanks.

    Most authoring tools have some form of automatic chapter creation. Most will set either a given number of chapters or a chapter every X minutes. Some will even try to find scene breaks to help make chapter skipping smoother.

    I know of no program that will add chapters to an existing disc automatically, although I believe it can be done manually and with some pain using PGCEdit.

    DVD Lab Pro, Womble Mpeg Wizard DVD and many others will insert chapters automatically if you ask them to.
