ok i have a pioneer 343 standalone dvd player.....it plays svcd/vcd fine also it plays dvd's fine except for one.

its the retail version(not a copy) of "kiss of the dragon" that i bought from the store

the movie plays fine until i get to about the 11th chapter (about midway thru the movie) then the video (and audio) freezez...only thing i can do is press stop then restart it but when it get back to that point it again freezes.

i thought it was the dvd so i took it back and exchanged it for another one.

it still freezed at the same point.

so i guess its my dvd player...i dont know what can be wrong because it plays my other dvds/vcds/svcds fine


i cant fine my manual for troubleshooting tips....i read somewhere maybe i have to reset my dvd player.....but i dont know how to do that nor do i think that will work.......


any suggestions..no matter how small would be appeciated
