WMV to AVI?

I purchased some WMV files with DRM from a website. What is the best solution to convert the WMV files into Xvid/DiVx file? All of the programs I've found so
far do not work and I refuse to pay for anything I can't see a trial working.

Yes, The DRM has to go away first and it works. I've had mixed results when converting to AVI, though. Some tools made the audio out of sync and others made the video playback a tad jerky (probably from inserting extra frames). I would be interested to hear from others what works best for them.

Well, I don't mind if I don't convert it into AVI. MPG is fine also.

I did look at those tools. Fairuse4dm I have no clue what that does. I load it up and it says "No Keys Loaded" so I click recover and it doesn't really do anything.

The iTunes program I can't use because I don't have iTunes. I bought my video off BitTorrent's retail site. I played one of them here just to acquire a license to try and convert, but I don't want to play them all just yet. I don't want them only to be able to play from this computer, so I was unsure if I can play them here then put them on another computer, get license, and play there.

I have tunebites, but haven't tried using it fully yet. I started it up and was going to do a video, but it says do not do anything else while it is running and I need to get work done, so I stopped it.
