  1. I really enjoy the Divx Ultra Projects that I make with TDA 3. I have a question though, do you think this format is going to catch on or will it be quite likely that in the future I won't be able to buy a Divx Ultra Player to play my discs?

I have hopes that someone at Videolan is going to add the capability to play this format with their software player. I am not very anxious to install the Divx Software Player after reading through their EULA that comes up before you install it.

I really think TDA 3 is a really neat program. I couldn't ask for a better DVD Authoring Program, because of the ease of use and the features included within the program.

  3. I kind of suspect that other than the menus there isn't much going for Divx Ultra. Making a Data Disc is alot quicker than the 5 and half hours that it takes to make a Divx Ultra Project.

I posted a suggestion over in the VLC Suggestions Forum about Divx Ultra Support and a developer expressed interest in it.

It seems like I should get an encoder to convert my mpeg2 files to XVid format and then just put those files on a Data Disc.

Maybe sometime down the line there will be high capacity discs that one can put mpeg2 files on and not have to convert them and be able to make conventional DVD Projects.

    Thanks jagabo for your input.
