Hello Everyone,
I'm back with another problem. I can't seem to load my VOB/IFO files into SubtitleCreator. I get this error that I don't have the proper codec installed (K-Lite). I installed the codec it told me to install but I still get the same exact error. Can someone help me fix this? Thank You!
Here's a screenshot of the error:
Kind regards, Josh

BUMP!
Is anyone going to reply? I'm desperate to get this thing working! -
You guys don't understand how important this is to me. I need to get this program to work so that I can quickly create my subtitles, instead of using that stupid Visual SubSync program that gets out of sync all the time. If nobody wants to answer me, delete this topic.
Kind regards, Josh -
To Moderator: DELETE THIS TOPIC!
Nevermind, I think I want to keep this topic now. -
You need to realize that the help from this forum is from people who do not get paid, yet help out as a courtesy. Demanding anyone to solve your problem is not the right way to go.
You could always give other subtitle programs a try. Another thing to try is instlling a DVD player in order to get the codecs (if you don't have one now). I have yet to have a DVD codec problem after installing Intervideo a few years back.
You probably shouldn't ask for a topic to be deleted, unless there are some legal issues or real problems, other than your self-induced meltdown. Someone may come along (on their own schedule), solve this problem and post it in this thread. -
Hello Supreme2k,
Thanks for the reply. I have a DVD playing software on my computer (Cyberlink PowerDVD). I just did a reformat so it might work this time. I apologize for my rude behavior; if all else fails, I will try those other programs. Thank You.
Kind regards, Josh -
I do not use Subtitle Creator.
But if you wish to create your own subs from a scratch, then Visual SubSync IS THE solution.
Now what do you wish to do?
What problems do you have with Visual SubSync? -
Actually, I kind of like "DivXLand Media Subtitler" now. It doesn't become out of sync like VisualSub Sync. I also find it to be much more faster when it comes to editing the subtitles.

Regarding the message you see in SubtitleCreator: It is due to the fact that you want to preview subtitles overlaid on your DVD and that the default DVD decoder is not installed (Pdvd 4 or 6).
You can do one of the followings depending on your needs:
* go to the Settings menu and unselect "Overlay subtitles on DVD" to disable the preview function
OR
* go to the Settings menu and choose "Select DVD Decoder" -> "Preferred by system"
OR
* install PowerDVD 4 or 6.
Cheers

I installed PowerDVD 5. My computer manufacturer sent me an updated version (7.0 I believe) because I didn't know they sent me PowerDVD with my laptop. I tried the "preferred by system" option but it still gives me an error. Other DVD subtitle programs work fine because they display the subtitles when I preview the DVD.
Kind regards, Josh
