You know "HEAT OF THE MOMENT" by ASIA is a fav of mine on the 80's Guitar Hero game. I am now downloading their ASIA self titled album through my yahoo music subscription. I love this stuff!!

It's kind of like a heavier version of JOURNEY. I'm not sure which group was first but this is some wickedly beautiful music. The blend of synth and electric guitar is perfection!!!

I may just buy the album the next time I'm at Bestbuy - or one of their greatest hits cds probably.

    Any other ASIA fans here?????

    Sorry, couldn't resist.
    His name was MackemX

What kind of a man are you? The guy is unconscious in a coma and you don't have the guts to kiss his girlfriend?

I'm not a big fan of Asia, but I think the 80s produced a lot of the best music ever.

ASIA was scheduled to play here in Honolulu but they canceled. I wonder if it was low ticket sales. I do that the 80's produced great music. I grew up in the 80's and watched MTV premier on cable tv. I still have my "I WANT MY MTV" tshirt.

    "Video Killed the Radio Star"!

yoda313: "JOURNEY" was a great band back in the day! They played here in Honolulu 5 nights straight back in the 80's. It was a great concert!

  6. I have every Asia album that they created. There is one that they released in 2004 - called Silent Nation.

Ehh, Asia, Journey, Rush, Styx, REO and a host of others, maybe not the best ever, but pretty good for the times. Alot of chick stuff, but that's OK too, if it got you laid! Yeah, those were the good ole days, Coke was king and everything was open 24 hours!

Even Disco was good if you were hunting brainless little tramps in skimpy areobic outfits. Er, Ah, so I heard.
IS IT SUPPOSED TO SMOKE LIKE THAT?

The 80's? Two words: "THE TUBES."

    http://www.thetubes.com/sitemap.htm

    Oooo baby,
    Move closer to me
I've had all that I can stand
Take hold of me with your hands

    Oh baby,
    You give me the chills
    Whisper low in my ear
    Let knows how it feels
just to know you are near

Your body gives me a thrill
    as it leans against mine
    I love how it feels
    with your jeans against mine

    The smell of burning leather
as we hold each other tight
    As our rivets rub together
    flashing sparks into the night
At this moment of surrender darling
    if you really care
    Don't touch me there

    Unzip that jacket
    That leather smells so sweet
    Put your chest against mine
    Feel my heart beat

I love the way your belt fits
The way it hangs so low
So low on your hips my darling
    I want you so

I love your sweet, sweet lips
    I love your salty taste
    I love your finger tips
When I reach for your waist?! Uh-huh...

    The smell of burning leather
as we hold each other tight
    As our rivets rub together
    flashing sparks into the night
At this moment of surrender darling
    if you really care
    Don't touch me there

I will give my love forever
    if you promise me you'll
never never never touch me there
    Don't touch me there

    Don't touch me there
    Please don't
    Don't touch me there
    Oh no not there
    Don't touch me there
    Anywhere but there
    Don't touch me there
    Never--don't ever
    Don't touch me there
    Do you care?
    Don't touch me there
    Then don't touch me there
    Don't touch me there

I was born in 1970 so of course I'm biased, but the 80s were just a great time to be a teenager. Music was kicking ass, video arcades, laser light shows, concerts, roller rinks, babes in short skirts with crazy makeup and teased out hair, sex, drugs....anything goes!

I was born in '62 but sac is correct about the '80's being a great time. Disco was dead and you had punk - plus you had all that fantastic music from '60's and '70's to fall back on.
