Noticed that FFDShow white sub color is very lame compared i.e. BSPlayer's white sub.
Take a look this picture, upper is FFDShow subtitle and lower BSPlayer. BSPlayer subtitle is much brighter: http://xs.to/xs.php?h=xs114&d=07163&f=subs.jpg
Why FFDShow white is SO lame? It's actually more grey than white.
I would like to use VSFilter and just installed it (again), but i got high CPU usage problems with it. :/

Use Draw subtitles to Overlay surface option in BSplayer and... then compare.
Use Original resolution in DirectVobSub (VSFliter) and... then compare.
Default, VSFilter use different resolution for subtitles.
Use Resize in ffdshow... then compare. -
You can try ffdshow tryout. The subtitles are much better than the old ffdshow.
