  1. when i play a 3 cd svcd the audio in the movie becomes out of sync at around 30mins into the cd. or if i fast foward or rewind. if i am watching a 2 cd svcd then oddly enough there is no problem. this has happened to me w/ 2 movies. and when i begin playing around w/ the video speed the audio tends to become back in sync. has anyone had these problems before or knows how to fix them. is it a hardware problem or software? i do not encode these movies my self and i use nero 5.0 to to burn the movies.

  2. Hey I got an Apex 500w and I'm having that same problem I think. I download and convert the movies myself. I've even converted the audio out to wave before changing the video to mpeg. My problem I don't think is the audio but the video. It seems like the video speeds up but the audio stays normal

  3. yeah. thats what i think. i think what happens is that the video stays normal but the audio is slow to keep up. it happens the same w/ vcds but the difference is that vcds actully slow the video down so that the audio keeps up. i dont know which is more annoying. have you found a fix or no?

I also have a/v sync problems when converting avi's then playing on my apex 600a. I've tried many things to remedy the issue... i think it is something inherent with the Apex somehow. The Apex has no issues when I take files that are already in mpg-1 format, only from conversions... I think the issues lie in originating codecs and different fps rates, i'm not sure.. but the videos play fine on my computer, but have issues with the dvd player... some improvement when converting audio to wav files first, but not good enough... I'm also using Nero, not sure if that is an issue or not...
