What is your source? Is the original source clean?

You also need to make sure you use dvd specs - 48khz wav or ac3 or mp2. Mp3 and other music files aren't supported in a dvd video.

The only other thing you could do is extract the audio from the dvd and use an audio editor like goldwave or something and try to remove any distortions. Then remux (put it back in) the video and burn again.
Donatello - The Shredder? Michelangelo - Maybe all that hardware is for making coleslaw?

  4. Note that MP2 isn't officially supported in NTSC DVD players. Many (most?) can handle it but I've seen problems on some.

    Thats really funny ???

Why would you take the audio from the screwed dvd , edit it , and slam it back in ... thats backwards .

You need to define things first .

Dose the original file ... not the dvd ... play back on pc fine ... yes / no

If yes , check file with gspot ... your looking to see if audio is VBR ... bad stuff that , trips up many programs during conversion .

If vbr is found , search forum for vbr , maybe something from here : https://forum.videohelp.com/topic330633.html

If no to vbr , but it plays fine , then re-extract the audio from original file , convert , and use it instead .

If no to vbr , but poor quality during playback ... try another media player ... check codecs (watch out for divx6 and ffmpeg , they can interfer if not setup correctly) .

As a last , if poor play back of audio is experienced no matter what is done , it may simply be an issue originally generated when the file was created ... thems the breaks .

You might beable to do some filtering with goldwave , but its not free ... audacity has some filtering abilities , but how close and how much work are you willing to put in to see if you can make it any better

No , the filters wont do all the work on their own ... you have to know where , when , and by how much , in order to prevent further degredation of the source .

Its you choice ... your the one listening to it .

Forget MP2 ... many players have issues with it .

While your up , try a commercial dvd in the unit ... you might have an issue there ... something users forget to check when reporting problems .

Audio , over to right , and down is VBR , in green ... thats caused it

Well , I cant be sure if this is the right method ... I dont have a bar to do with vbr .

    guns1inger

Open the avi in vdubmod. When you get the VBR warning, answer yes to re-write the header. Go to streams->Stream List. Full Processing mode. Set compression to Uncompressed PCM and save Wav.
Now , under audio , select wav ... locate the one just writen out
Set audio to direct stream copy
Set video to direct stream copy

Save as new avi ... it will be bigger , but the wav file should not cause any issues with that cucusoft product ... by taking audio compressors out of the equasion .
