I've been running a LR LRM-519 since January of this year. It has been a very fun unit to have around. Last month, however, it began acting up and freezing. I suspect that it was overheating and that the HD is burned out. I was wondering if anyone has had any experience in upgrading or swapping the HD in this unit. The LG tech people are no help whatsoever and are going to charge me $80 just to look at it and diagnose the problem. I would rather put the time and money in myself. Has anyone experimented with this model? Please share your story!
Thanks!

The drive itself should be easy enough to swap. But unless you hear different, get the same model/spec HDD.

Its either follow Krispy Kritter's advise ... same size / model / spec , could be tricky in locating .
I know lg's help is about as useless as a two bob watch at the bottom of the harbour , but if you do send it in , get what they say they will do in writing first .
If they muck about , get a refund as first choice .
