S-Video output wont respond

Hi all,

ive had my laptop for a little over 6 months and wa suntil recently enjoying watching movies on my tv thruogh the s-video out on my laptop...

for some reason this has stopped working and the second monitor options on my desktop won't allow me to set up a dual monitor display- im guessing this is because it cant detect a cable in the s-video but ive bought a brand new one and still no joy...

so i need to find out how i can check if its the s-video thats not working and how i can fix it - if at all... i cant see it having failed at only 6 months old but cant be sure

any ideas?

Try reinstalling the video drivers or upgrading to the latest version.

nice one, know where i can get these drivers? google searches seem to yield no results- i dont have my laptop connected to the net

I would start at the manufacturers website (which I can't find for your laptop...not a good sign). Your other choice would be the chipset manufacturers webpage...it appears the 7111 uses the Intel UMA graphics chip.
