  1. I'm trying to make a mp3 disc for my car. I have 11 folders/albums. When I create a new data cd compilation in nero it alphabetizes the mp3's in each folder. I have searched and it seems like the only solution for nero is to rename with numbers. Does anyone have a work around for this? I have tried to make an ISO file of the folders first but that didn't seem to work.

    Thanks for your help.

That's been discussed here before, but I don't remember much about the thread. And watch out for numbering. If you go 1, 2, 3.....10, 11... , what you may end up with is 1, 11, 12, 2, 3, .....

EDIT: This may be the thread: https://forum.videohelp.com/topic311580.html#1593136

  3. ok. we'll thanks anyway. Looks like i'm renaming 200+ songs. Anyone know of a freeware program that would help ease naming them rather than file by file?

Depends if they are properly tagged or not. In foobar2k you can just highlight the lot and have them renamed using whatever pattern you want, in this case I guess something like: nn. title?

Another option is something like 'Better file rename': http://publicspace.net/windows/BetterFileRename/

I use WinAmp and a plug-in called 'Playlist Unpacker'. Renames (adds PL001, PL002, PLnnn) and copies the MP3s to any directory. I then run MP3Gain on that directory (normalizes volume). Drag them into any burning app and they stay in order.

It's not Nero, but rather the file system.
