Errors after reinstalling DVDAuthorGui

I have used this program before with no problem, but I had to wipe my hard drive and reinstall everything.
I installed DVDAuthor .06.14 and then installed the gui 1.013
When I open a menu to add buttons I get a message stating I need an Mpeg2 direct show filter. This makes no sense as I have PowerDVD installed.
Sometimes when I open a menu I get a divide by 0 error instead and the program closes.

if you have avisynth installed, go to the 'tools' menu, and select 'use alternate preview decoder'.

You will need to have avisynth installed, if you don't already.

Thanks that did it. Wish I understood what was going on though.

It is probably some improperly registered components. As long as you have avisynth installed, i recommend the 'alternate decoder', as it is much more precise.

Just being curious, did you select a full install, or just a regular (for DVDAuthorGUI)?

I left out the active x component and the other optional one the first time then I put in everything except the active x after uninstalling.
