Alba dvd382stb

Anybody used the alba dvd382stb? There available in asda for £40 and want to know if they handle dvd-r/rw disks ok?

Also if the can handle them is there a hack to get it region free?

A brief review where it states that it will play Region 2 discs. This suggests to me there isn't a hack. http://www.avreview.co.uk/news/article.asp?UAN=1092&v=1

However, for less money (if you get the tenner off by using Google Checkout) you could get one of these which is far superior!

hi you wanted a hack for the alba dvd382stb

switch tv and dvd on with tray closed, press set up then 1-3-5-7 slowly,
left click arrow untill region appears set at 0
press set up and its done
