  1. I have a mouse with the standard ps/2 connector and I bought a USB ps/2 Adapter so that I could plug into my Dell Latitude d620 notebook - it only accepts USB connections. The problem I have is when hooked up, when the fist letter is typed it won't stop and keeps repeating and will not stop. How do I fix this? Thank you.

I hate to sound patronising (I have the same computer as a spare and did the same thing) but if is a dual ps/2 to usb connector ie USB-- keyboard and mouse ps/2...then just check the mouse is in the mouse one and the keyboard in the keyboard one!!!

sorry.. but sometimes obvious mistakes are made!!

I myself use the dual adapter made by belkin .

The problem is either the mouse or the adaptor are not quality , considering the adapter was bought individually from mouse , I'd aim the issue at the adapter not being suitable for the mouse .

But , if the mouse is from microsoft , or other well known company , and you installed the utility package that came with the mouse , and the drivers , then get rid of the utility program .

Type k get g instead , space bar not work ... ect ... caused by rotten ms's software that came with mouse .

Its not a bargain warehouse mouse is it ? ... well known junk .

Watch were you buy from , some retailers are rip off's ... sell $12 ps2 optical mouse for $40 ... seen it a few times , and dont come with the ps2/usb adapter either .
