Can anyone tell me if the Pioneer 106D burner and Maxell MXL RG03 media are compatible? I do have the newest 1.08 firmware but the 106D is only a 4x burner and has been known to use bad write strategies on some 8x media. This probably applies more to +R media than -R, but if anyone knows for sure, please comment on your experience since I can't find this burner/media combo on this site. I did try a 4x test burn with ImgBurn and it worked in the virtual world. The 106D has also worked with CMC 8x -R media with no problems. I do have a newer 16x Samsung burner, but I think I still prefer the Pioneer as old and slow as it may be.
