converting dvd to wmv

i'm new a this stuff.
i have a soccer game on dvd.that i want to post on a soccer forum.so i guess i have to convert it to wmv?
and then what i have to do?extract it?
and is it any free programme that gonna let me add a watermark?

Tmpgenc Xpress and AutoMKV can convert directly from dvd to wmv but you wont be able to add a watermark that easy.

Or else you can use VOB2MPG on the dvd and you will get a mpg file that you should be able to add in many editors/converters.
