subtitles in stream

i have managed to stream videos from my pc to my psp using PIMPstreamer however it doesn't support subtitles. is it possible for me to make something similar to an avs script so i can stream that because it the player on the psp doesn't recognize avs scripts.

or perhaps someone can point me to some sort of guide for streaming using vlc?
