I have a bunch of home made VCD (PAL and NTSC). I have converted some of the VCD to DVD without pain using SVCD2DVD and TDA. Recently I encounter an error msg from TDA while working on some PAL VCD. The error msg was " GOP of the video is too long". Should I choose to proceed then I would end up with a non standard DVD (cannot be played on certain stand alone player).
The only method that I can think of to put those VCD to a standard DVD format is to re-encode in TmpgEnc and select the appropriate GOP length. Is it possible to correct the GOP without encoding?

I've ignored that error many times in the past and the resulting discs have all been fine.
