    after rumaging through a massive amount of tutorials and searching through the forum, i'm trying to figure out the best way to convert this avi to an mpg or mpeg so that i can burn it to a VCD or XVCD.

    since it's 20 f/s i'm having a hard time converting it to mpeg1, and i'm also pretty new on the scene so i'm still getting use to the vocabulary. :D

    any help would be greatly appreciated!

    i've seen that tutorial many times, but VirtualDUB will not let me extract the audio, it gives me an error so fast i can't even read it. that was why i posted this here...
