I have captured miniDV tapes as .m2v files. On my hard drive Adobe Premiere Pro gives me 2 files, one being the .m2v video file and the other being the audio .wav file. When I bring the two separate files back into Adobe to render out a single .mpg file the audio does not sync. The audio and video files are the same length and captured at the same time. Any ideas as to why this would happen or any way to fix it?
    Thanks

.m2v is an mpeg video only extension. you don't say what you are capturing with - but try winDV set to capture type 2 avi. you should end up with 13GB per hour of in sync audio/video interleaved with a file extension of .avi which is what is on the miniDV tape.

on the fly encoding to mpeg while capturing from miniDV is a sure way to lose frames and end up with a mess.
