What is a good program to use to convert files to high qualty dvd compliant mpeg files? I used to use tmpgenc 4.o express but since I upgraded to Vista from Xp when I try to run the program it says that some files are missing so I reinstall the program and it says the same thing?

I haven't had any problems with TMPGEnc Plus or TDA with Vista. But you could try the freeware HC encoder. But if you want a all in one converter, try ConvertXToDVD.

For other payware encoders, ProCoder or CCE are both faster than TMPGEnc.

you used the wrong settings in that case -- procoder, cce basic or Hc are all good suggestions -- all ouput mpeg2 for use in a dvd
