Nero new version

I'm having problems with this program. Like I fill in the given security code and what not and itll seem like it downloaded fine but then it just stops after it finishes and said the program failed to install. I've downloaded it 3 different times and I get the same results each time. I'm using Windows Vista. What seems to be the problem?

I had a similar problem installing a nero 8 update on vista.
To solve the problem I had to remove nero and then install the update.
Make sure you take note of your key number before you uninstall, it has to be re entered.

There should be a Nero Clean Tool available on their site to remove older versions of Nero before installing newer versions. Nero won't completely uninstall by itself.

Thats just it. I never used Nero before and I have Vista as well.

Did you right click the executable file and select run as admin? There could be any number of explanations and unless further information is provided, all we are doing is speculating.

I have Nero and Vista and they work quite well. However, I use Imgburn to burn DVD's.

I have ImG Burn but I have yet to try it. Im in the middle of buying an external DVD Writer/Recorder or whatever from Wal-Mart.

Anyway, I'm the only one using my computer so I guess that qualifies me as the admin though. But now its asking me for a .Net password.
