I have Nero Ultra Edition 6.6.1.4 (Nero Digital 3.1.0.25)

When using Nero Recode, in the Nero Digital Profile drop down box, I've been using STANDARD. However I realize I have many more choices:

    Maximum Definition
    Mobile
    Portable
    Standard
    Cinema
    High Definition TV
    Maximum Definition- AVC
    Mobile- AVC
    Portable- AVC
    Standard- AVC
    Cinema- AVC
    HDTV- AVC
    Memory Stick Video- PSP

What does all these options mean? I was going to upgrade to Nero 7 so I can encode using H.264. I do not need to upgrade do I? The H.264 is one of those AVC profiles isn't it?

    Please advise!

You can download Nero help files to learn about the options:

You have good guides here: Nero Recode

Cool. Thank you... Though I don't think they answer my question. My logical guess is that YES, I do have H.264 encoding capabilities with my version of nero 6.6.
