    After I installed FFMPEGX my ability to open any pictures on most web pages failed. All I get is a Large Q and then a ? Can anybody help restore my qucktime program. Mac G4 OS 10.4.9

    AFAIK, ffmpegX does nothing that has an effect on QuickTime and/or webbrowsers.
    Two events around the same time might look like causality, but it doesn't have to be.

    You can always reinstall QuickTime, though:
