Just got Quick Time Pro and I am having some trouble. I read the 62 page manual, but still it's not working.
When I open up a MP3-XVID File it won't open, but it says it's a invalid entry, even though MP3 Files are acceptable in QT. I also can't open up a WMV file off the web when I use open URL under File.
Any suggestions would be great.
Thanks

It likely doesn't support the file types you are trying to use, hence the error. Although QT Pro supports mp3, it does not specifically support xvid (or divx) or wmv. Supported file types are listed on their website (and likely in the manual): http://www.apple.com/quicktime/pro/specs.html
Aside from the above, the fact that QT Pro won't open them, would seem to indicate they are either not supported (or don't meet spec) or they are corrupt. Either way, your only option is to find a tool that can open them.Google is your Friend
