Doubts about mini dvd capturing

hey, i´m in a little trouble here... i work with video editing and i received a job that a guy passed me!
the videos are in .mpg but premier will not read it .... i tried converting it with i think about 8 programs...
and neither of them worked!!
so my problem is i need to do this job

any ideas??? i think the guy passed to his computer throw usb and using a SONY program ... do you think if i just got the little cds and passed it with my dvd reader it would worked ???

Try dropping one of the files in Gspot 2.70. That should identify the format. And you might check to see if VLC can play them.

If neither works, try re-ripping the discs with DVD Decrypter. Or try ISOBuster. But they should just be standard (PAL or NTSC) DVD format, AFAIK.

thanks i´ll try that out and yes they do run on vlc but only the image appears not the audio.... but i´ve manage to convert the audio with total video to mp3 but the image wont run neither on premier or studio 9 and no program will convert it !!!!
