    I'm having a problem using vob2mpg.

I ripped a DVD using DVDDecrypter. This worked flawlessly creating the 7.5GB collection of VOB files.

I pointed vob2mpg at the VIDEO_TS folder where the ripped vobs were stored, and gave the program a good destination folder. The destination is a vacant 30GB IDE hard drive.

When I hit "Proceed" the program immediately hits 100% and gives the message:
    -------------------------------------
    Finished prossessing 1 vobsets

    Duration 00:00:01
    -------------------------------------

I have tried this program with no fewer than 10 DVD titles I have, and get the same message. A zero byte MPG file is created in the destination folder.

I've even tried to use VOB files from DVDs that I have created myself, so there is no connection with encryption. Same result.

I've tried at least seven different computers. CPUs range from AMD Thunderbird 1Ghz, Intel celeron 1.4Ghz, 2.0Ghz, 2.2Ghz, and Pentium 4 2.6Ghz, 2.8Ghz and 3.0Ghz. The minimum memory I have used is 512MB. The max memory is 1.0GB. All memory is either PC133 SDRAM or PC2700 DDR-SDRAM.

I've tried using the program under windows 2000+SP4 and Windows XP+SP2. Both OS have the .NET 2.0 installed.

Since there is nothing to configure with this program I'm am at a loss as to what I can check next. Has anybody else run into this problem, and how to fix?

My attempts on the P4 2.6Ghz and 3.0GHz were fresh installs of Windows 2000 and WIndows XP respectively. Only the service packs, and .NET 2.0 were installed.

    I am baffled.

It appears the following is the reason the files ar e not getting created

    Code:
10:38:24: Could not write header for output file #0 (incorrect codec parameters ?)
I'm a bit fuzzy on how this can be resolved, since the ffmpeg.exe that is being used came with the program binary...

Try loading the first VOB into the batch function of MpegStreamClip 1.1 for Windows

BTW - Don't include VTS_01_0.VOB - that's the (usually) silent intro and can mess up your A/V sync.

i've had decent luck with vob2mpg if you first rip the VOBs - main movie only with one audio track.
