hey, In advance I appreciate any help I can get here. hopefully i posted in the right section of the forum.
so the problem I am running into is that when I burn DVD files onto a DVD -R disc (Memorex), It plays choppy throughout most the video, and sometimes the sound is also choppy along with the video.
I have used *AVI DVD BURNER 2007* to encode from AVI to DVD and that works just fine. I then use DVD SHRINK to burn the files onto a disc, and this is where I get the problems when trying to play them on my DVD player.
I have tried 3 different DVD players in my house, (Panasonic, Pioneer, Sony). I also tried to create an ISO of the DVD files and then use DVD DECRYPTER to burn the ISO, and still receiving the exact same issues, on the exact same parts of the media when playing it on my DVD players. each DVD player I try at home, gives me different issues however. . . . I get good quality video, but it just chops, and when I say chops, I mean that it skips a lot during the video, it like moves frame by frame at a slow pace to be a little more specific. the audio is in good sync, although on my other DVD player, I get audio every time I load a certain part of the video, but then 2 seconds after the audio just goes away, and I'm still getting the choppy video. I want this to have good audio, in sync with the video . . .and for the video to run smooth as it should.
I have tried 3 different files, all converted from AVI to DVD and burnt the same way. the files are in the size range of 700 MB however when I do convert to DVD, the files become a bit larger then 1 GB. usually around 1.3, 1.2 etc. any suggestions on how to end the choppy audio/video will be appreciated. thanks

Never heard of "AVI DVD BURNER 2007" before, but your best bet at oneclick AVI to DVD is convertx2dvd - the rest is mostly hit & miss (at best).
You should also try some other media - take a look at www.nomorecoasters.com for what's good and bad.
If you have lots of AVI files you'd like to oplay back on your TV, I'd suggest a DivX/XviD capable player - no conversion needed at all. Save lots of disks, time and headache. Costs about the same as most commercial AVI to DVD software.

DVD Shrink does burn the files if you have nero installed. I should also mention that I just burnt the DVD files (.VOB) using nero and I get no choppiness at all from the sound. and the skipping is still there but its less noticable. hmm, still not perfect
