Sorry, but how else can I explain?

Hi all, unfortunatly, I have about 5 lengths of cable to send Composite from Satellite Scart to Capture card input. Does the above image show noise lines due to a poor cable, or is this something else? Cable length is not an issue, I've used a longer one that I borrowed and had to return. Also, the audio and video shield are connected together, had to do this to improve image.
Also, how can I shift that black strip down the right hand side of the image? I can crop it or resize it but prefer it gone before the signal gets captured.

I use Ulead Movie Factory 4 and Dr.DivX.

    Cheers Mike

  2. a:bad cable
b: your card got a tv tuner and so you get interferences

my card has like you one single input for everything audio and video and so far i haven't had big problems

Sometimes i had lines(only noticeable on the preview) and this is interference with the tuner i believe but since i don't use the tuner i don't get them anymore..or very rarely

    Thanks themaster1,

I thinks its the cable. I don't use the tuner, just the Composite in. I thought I'd be okay, because the cable is screened. I'll buy a new cable.

    Cheers Mike
