Ok. I have comcast cable with a motorola dct6412iii that I am using capdvhs via firewire on a winxp sp2 pc to record with. The original source ts file plays perfectly. I use videoredo to edit the commercials out and the resulting mpg file also plays perfectly. The problem I am having is after using any one of several different encoders (autogk, virtualdubmod, staxrip, or imtoo) to either divx or xvid over half the files play the audio in sync for the 1st 5-15 mins then goes out of sync for the remainder of the recording. I have tried uninstalling all codecs and reinstalling, doing a clean install of windows, a different pc running mce2005, encoding each segment between commercials seperately, running the ts files thru quickstream fix with videoredo before editing, even encoding them before editing commercials. Nothing has worked. I am stumped.
