    i'm trying to figure this out...so many file types man...is this possible with a freeware program?

    could someone point me to that program?

    super, stoik video converter, divx converter, dr. divx, total video converter, virtualdub-mpeg2 and convert to avi with divx/xvid mpeg4.

    if you have problem converting the wmv you can use windows movie maker and export to avi and then convert the avi to avi with divx/xvid mpeg4.

    The most reliable way that I have found to convert WMV to MPEG4 without having sync issues is to drag and drop the file into TMPGEnc.

    You can use the free version to do this.
