My son made a 20min school video project, and burned it into dvd. but we realized in the video there is couple of places while interviewing people the background noise is very high and the person speaking hardly we can hear. I like to know what is best way to fix this problem.
please need help A.S.A.P.

I do not think you will have much luck with this one because noise and speech will have overlapping frequency so if you get rid of one you get rid of the other.
There is TMPGEnc Xpress where you can load your DVD files in and use sound filters to reduce noise. They have trial version so you can check it out.
Other way is to use audio editing software, but in that case you have to strip audio first, than mux it back to your video file and reauthor DVD.
It is lots of work and I really do not think you will have much success.
The best way to record something like this is to use external directional microphone if you are far away or just external mike for person to speak to, but it is too late now. -
