Possibly, go ahead and try it. But since encoding uses as much CPU power as possible or available, I would expect two encoders will run at half speed of one, so it would take you the about the same amount of time as doing it twice. Why not do a batch encode and run it all overnight? Then you could encode several files, one after the other.

do u mean open more than 2 copies or add all movies to TMPGEnc as I cannot see how to do this

  4. Load the first movie, set up the encoding options, File->Save Project. Load the second movie, set up the encoder, File->Save Project.
Once you add all the movies you want, File->Batch Encode. Add the projects to the window, click Run.

  6. Then you need I assume to run two instances of VDub frameserver.. I don't know if it is even possible. Better try Avisynth.

I have already ran 2 instances of VDub frameserver and now ended up with 2 .vdr files which I then put into TMPGEnc to encode these are 2 seperate movies I mean so what I am saying is now I have 2 movies which have been frameserved in VD as now .vdr can I now place both those into TMPGEnc to encode as 2 seperate movies

You have to run two instance of tmpgenc and two instances of virtualdub. If tmpgenc won't let you run two instances then you are in for a hard time.

If you don't have dual core or dual cpus then you are, in fact, more likely to less performance out of running two instances than running one instance and batching the jobs.

  11. Only remember that for every .vdr you need one instance of VDub frameserving running constantly

  14. You can run two instances of Vdub Frameserving, and then either :
    1. Run two seperate copies of TMPGENC and encode at the same time, or
    2. Set up to batch encode as Abond described.

I have done it both ways.

Your explanation of what exactly you are trying to do and precisely what problem you are having is unclear.
