I've recently replaced my harddrive but since then WINAVI is no longer working. Everytime I tried to open a video file (RM, RMVB, AVI etc..) always comes back with something like 'unable to open, locate the source file'. I've reinstalled the K-lite codec and later also tried with Storm Codec but no use. All files confirmed can be played back with my Window player as well as any other players. Please help me out thanks....Stephen

WinAVI is a very poor piece of software that is known to only work intermittently, and to produce poor quality on the odd occasions that it does work.
The K-lite codec pack is known to cause playback and encoding problems. In fact pretty much any codec pack is an invitation to trouble.
If it were me, I would remove both k-lite and winavi from my system, if necessary re-install Windows, and either use ConvertXtoDVD going forward, or learn how to use better, purpose built tools instead of low quality, unsupported software like WinAVI.
And if you don't believe me about how bad it is, just read through the problems posted here, then try to actually get meaningful from the company you paid good money to.Read my blog here.
