I record Time Warner cable movies to cable-supplied DVR and then to tabletop component DVD for viewing while traveling. I just noticed that most movies now are copy protected and can't be recorded on my DVD. I do not sell my movies--just watch them myself. Is there a procedure or hardware to record such movies on DVD disc?

You could try and connect your dvr to pc through firwire, then install an app that will allow you to trnasfer the videos. there is a guide on the net that I have seen. Also, don't post the same question more than once, in other forums, the mods are going to yell at you....
