    One of the best ways to learn is trial and error. Give it a go at different settings and see what takes your fancy. You'll know for next time then.
    hi ive joined 2 xvid avi [700mb] using VirtualDob,
    The result; now got a 1.3 gb xvid avi movie. and i want it to go 700mb and 128kbps Mp3, what would be my settings on the Xvid Codec?
    to get a 700mb file size...

    Please don't hijack topics! Start a new thread for a new issue.
    Load the AVI in AutGK, set output size to 700MB.
    Will it look good? Probably decent, but halving the bitrate generally means halving the quality.

    oops sorry i didnt know that it was a hijack topic.

    anyway, how about using the VirtualDob? can i make a 700mb xvid avi movie file?

    You'd have to be an expert at configuring the codec to qualitywise beat AutoGK, IMO. I even think AutoGK uses VirtualDub.

  6. aXXo - the name search lead me to bittorent sites and all releases I have seen there from axxo are dvd rips. So axxo has as sources DVDs and you have a xvid avi as source. Of course the better the source - the better ther output. With this xvid avi (even 1 gb in size) as source you will never, never, never get the quality which you can get using the DVD as source. It is simply not possible. GIGO.
