    Hi All,

I've seen this effect a few times on TV shows in recent months and wondered how:

    1) The normal pan / tilt / scan speed is achieved with speeded up time-lapse footage or slow-mo footage playing at the same time.

    2) How a consistent light is achieved.

I'm not after recreating this effect, just curious to know how it's achieved by the pros.

Example footage (770kb Xvid AVI): pan_timelapse.avi

Cheers and a Happy New Year to Baldrick, the Mods and all in the forums!

Motion control rig of some sort. In this case probably timed to roll a little between each shot. Basically you are talking about an automated stop motion rig.

Lighting is easy in a controlled environment.

I did wonder whether it was that basic or whether there was some "fancy trick"... But, either way, impresive nonetheless.
