hello. I am trying to setup a time-lapse video, but i am a bit confused. My software gives the following parameters.
"Take one frame every ____ seconds" is set to 10
Playback rate (images per second) is set to 30
Do i wanna slow the playback rate down, or do i wanna slow the frame capturing down? I don't want things to speed by in a blur, but i want things to go faster than normal (hence the use of time-lapse video).
Anyone wanna help me out? How do i slow the above parameters down, where it's say, half that speed?
thanks!

Lowering the playback rate will slow things down, increasing the rate will speed things up.
You will likely need to experiment a bit to achieve the exact result you are looking for.Google is your Friend -
ok. i will just fiddle with things. I take it that the playback rate is the important thing, and the snapshot rate isn't as important.
anyway, thanks! -
Changing one will offset the other. Your snapshot rate is determined by the length of time of the act you are trying to capture. For a long event, such as showing sunrise through sundown, you would want captures further apart, say every 5 or 10 minutes. But if you were capturing a short event such as the burning of cigarette, you would want captures maybe every 15 or 30 seconds. The playback rate is then used to adjust the final speed of your captures to achieve the desired affect.
