I own a DVD with 4 movies on it, I would like to reauthor/back-up this DVD so that I have only one movie per disk (4 individual movies). I would also like to keep all the menus for each movie. How can I do this and what software will I need, I would like to use the programs I already have such as shrink, pgedit etc. Thanks

You can try this,

A little work and effort but it works... I'd use DVDRemake as Dawgs suggested ,or DVDFab platinum's merge feature....." Who needs Google, my wife knows everything" -

Hello Pinstripes23
I have both of those programs, what I would like to know is if there is a step by step guide of how to do this? I'm not expert in either of these programs, in fact I have Ripitforme do all my back-ups. Thanks -
Hey too-cool, read this..and don't let title discourage you..very informative and relates to what you want to achieve...I used it on a few backups and it works..with free programs you have. Be sure to read the link guides in thread ,as they are all useful, thanks to the guys over at digital digest.... good luck!!!

Open the DVD in pgcedit and you will see on the left the movies. They are indicated by length of time. In your dvd obviously the movie length of time will be longer than 45 min.
What you do is highlight the movies you want to get rid. You have 4 in your dvd so to keep the 1st movie, you have to "kill pgc playbck" movies 2,3,4. So in the screenshot below I highlight #2, and on the upper right I click on the X. Click "yes"
After clicking yes another prompt will come up asking about blanking cells. Click yes, as this will be needed in order for vobblanker to clean up the dvd.
Another prompt will come up afterwards about creating a backup of the VOBS. I would do it just in case. It may not be needed as pgcedit doesn't physically remove the "blanked pgc" as vobblanker will do it when you post-process. But after the prompts the movie/pgc should be reduced to only a couple seconds:
Now do the the same steps above for the next 2 movies in your dvd. After you have done that, the 1st movie of yours should be the only one that has the full length of time.
Save the DVD. You don't have to close pgcedit. Open the dvd in vobblanker, set the output folder, and process. That's all vobblanker will be used for. When you open your new dvd folder, the size of the dvd should be reduced....with only 1 movie on it.
To do the other 3 movies you would follow the same steps above but change the movie/pgc you want to keep and "kill pgc playback" the others. But you will have to restore backup in pgcedit before you start again. File --> Backup --> Restore Backups
VobBlanker by itself can probably do this but I prefer using pgcedit first as you can do more to manipulate the dvd, such as getting rid of menu buttons you are not goin to use anymore - which may come in handy for your project. Plus I think it produces a cleaner DVD doing it this way.
