  1. I know there are several threads in here about problems installing and working in Vista, but I did not see exactly one that I'm having problems with.

I've tried installing SVCD2DVD version 1.51.2 and version 2.1 and get an error I need to install .Net Framework 1.1. Does SVCD2DVD not see that Vista already has .Net Framework 2.0 installed?

So, do I have to remove 2.0 and then install 1.1 to get SVCD2DVD to work in Vista?

    Thanks!

  2. First - having .Net 2 does not mean you don't need .Net 1 for programs built on it.

Second - you can have both installed at the same time.

Wow...really! I'll have to say I assumed it was like upgrading a software program or a driver...i.e. the newer app would run things written prior to it. Never realized that 1.1 and 2.0 were like completely different things. I also assumed that if you installed 2.0 that it upgraded 1.1 to 2.0, never knew both ran at the same time.

    Thanks for the help!
