I made an avi file from a DVD recorded on a Canon DC100 video camera, but as it went thru the seemingly idiot proof process that is Auto Gordian, I came up with an avi file with no audio? I am really a newbie and just found this videohelp.com site about an hour ago. How do I ge the adio to convert?

    Thanks,

    Tom

Assuming of course the dvd actually has audio, I would perform the conversion again following the official guide here: http://www.autogk.me.uk/modules.php?name=TutorialEN

Obviously, you are missing... an .avi file.
For four months I would eat any piece of software with the bones.

Indeed! But how do I get one?

  6. Very easy - instead AutoGordianKnot, use GordianKnot.
And watch for any errors from VDubMod

I am using Gordian Knot and DVD Decipher and DVD2AVI to get my dvd video to editable computer vids, but the program keeps stalling at 30% of extraction. It won't extract (or whatever it does) the entire dvd. Any ideas? There doesn't seem to be any irregularities on the dvd. When it stalls I can hear the drive trying to deal with it too!

    Thanks,

    Tom
