I am capturing from VHS to PCI capture card using conexant 2388x chip.
The tape I'm capturing from is from a time lapse recorder (i.e. security cam).
I can play the tape out to a TV without issue, however it moves a bit 'fast'.
When I play and capture through card, I can see and capture ok, however every few frames it acts like it would if there were a 'tracking' problem, i.e. a VCR from 1985 which this one is not. The image shifts on the screen so the very top is at the bottom. It seems like this would be a frame rate (or bit rate?) issue but messing with settings in capture software hasn't helped.
Just wondering if anyone has any experience in this arena.
Thanks.
