it only accepts/recognizes maybe 1 out of 10 avi files, and it doesn't accept the only mkv file i have

I load the file and no data other than the file name is displayed, no fps no size no codec no audio info , i assume that the GUI is not parsing the file, but i really don't know..

here are screenshot and gspot pix

the top (2) is a file that worked

the rest are files that did not

    this did not work

    neither did this one

doesn't make any difference what codec settings are

BUT if i go to the avi2dvd folder and into programs and an run an encoder by itself say quenc it will accept the file and transcode it to mpeg which doesn't help me because there is no resizeing or anything or any of the authoring functions

other programs accept these files but not avi2dvd, it is apparently using avisynth 2.5 as the avisynth 2.5 folder was installed at the same time, and it appears, it some how mucked around with MPC, because now when i open an avi file that previously played flawlessly, i get a 'graph' window with a chunk error, this comes up twice ( video & audio streams ? ) then the file plays, this NEVER happened before i installed avi2dvd last night

OH and it doesn't support ver 2.7 of cce which i have, it wants ver 2.66

I even tried putting avisynth 2.5.7 in the folder and renaming it, no difference, i think it's actully using vdubmod not avisynth

any suggestions, has anybody else encountered these problems

or should i give up and un-install it, BTW where do you find the setting to boost the volume

on the one file that worked the volume of the dvd/vob was lower than the volume of the input file

AVI2DVD installed new codecs . That's where the problem lies.
