  1. im trying to unrar this iso, but i get this error. is my winrar out of date? whats the problem here?

    The first thought here is RTBS - Read The B****y Screen! or in this case erroe message!

    You need to open the .rar and winrar will automatically scan through all the other parts as it extrats. What annoys me is that having detected the error winrar just doesn't go ahead and open the file (report and error if itis missing) and process it since it's obvious that's what you'll do as a result of the reported error.

    Anyone developing a rar extractor please take note

    What version of WinRAR allows you to extract from .ISO files?

    According to the log posted he's tried to extract a .iso from a rar file but has opened the .r00 and NOT the .rar.

    I expect there's a .rar a .r00 .r01 etc etc all of which will open in winrar if you double click on them.

    User error aside, I lost patience with the design and operation of WinRAR a long time ago. There are a number of free alternatives now that handle that archiving format, along with many others. 7Zip and IZARC come to mind.
