I just found this off a blog posted on moviegoat.com. One of the dumbest things I have ever read.

Here ya go…” Many major Hollywood distributors have already begun to offer their prestine HD titles on BlueRay but now the indie world is catching up! moviegoat seems an apt name for such drivel. And it doesn't sound at all like the poster has some stake in the company he/she mentions. Not at all.

That is a term I usually associate with gravity....
Wouldn't "sinking" be dependant on the orientation of the disc when it's stored?
Sounds like a load of shit to me.

The Internet is full of idiots. Most of them have blogs or use forums.

DVD technology was actually quite thoroughly vetted. Laserdisc was the rush, as is Blu-Ray and HD-DVD both.

Both VHS and Betamax were quite stable too, not rushed, so that's why there was such a big format war. The Blu-Ray/HD-DVD thing is a joke by comparison.
