I am a newbie and am using a Zenith XBR413 dvdr/vhs. I have read here that it is the same as a Go Video VR4940. I would like to back up my dvd collection to dvd from another player, but the Zenith says "copy written material cannot be recorded" or to that affect. Does anyone know how to
    back up commercial dvds?
Thanks in advance for any help!

I sent you a pm. There is no legal 'fair use' in the US, but read the pm

Yeah... do it the correct & best way, buy a good burner for $35.00 shipped, install in your PC, rip the dvd to your hard drive, then burn back to a dvdr.
Not the crappy way you are trying to do it

Sometimes you just gotta "Google it". Then it will come to you.

I believe Baldrick had something to say about this awhile back - I really can't honor your request.
